Neko and another cat were found this morning near an abandoned house in our neighborhood. She’s fine, maybe a bit skinny, and not at all appreciative of being hoisted by the scruff of her neck in order to get her home.
After a feast, her punishment shall commence: she has to take down the hundreds of flyers we put up. :-)
Meet Della.
We rescued her, and got her to a shelter. Nobody came for her. The shelter named her “La Croix.”
We adopted her, got her much-needed medical attention, and have brought her home. We named her Della Croix, after a line in Dylan’s Tangled Up In Blue: “…working for awhile on a fishing boat right outside Delacroix.”
She is adjusting slowly and has 10 more days of various medicines to work through. She is resting comfortably tonight.
We are still looking for Neko and hoping she comes home soon.

Please share with anyone you know in the area. She’s been gone 8 days now and we’re devastated.
Happy Birthday to Neckgear!

Lover’s Leap at Rock City. August 2012.
Just as the clock on London’s Big Ben rang in the New Year, thousands of fireworks lit up the city’s skyline. Lucky for him, Dan Kitwood’s capture of the moment landed him in TIME Magazine’s Year in Photographs 2012. Check out the rest below!

I don’t often blog photographs I’ve not taken here, but this is simply spectacular.
