Walt Disney Concert Hall, designed by architect Frank Gehry. Los Angeles, 2004. When first completed, the sunlight reflected so strongly into one of the apartment buildings across the street that they had to buff a certain side of it in order to dull the finish… and make it less shiny. The same “death ray” effect is now happening at a hotel in Las Vegas.
